Email

[email protected]

Anything at all: a bug, a question, a request for your data, a complaint. Replies usually come within a day or two, and always within 30 days for a privacy request. Reports of harmful content are handled within 24 hours.

Reporting something in a Trial

Every check-in and every message can be reported from inside the app. Press and hold the photo or the message, then choose Report photo or Report message. The same menu has Block, which hides that person from your view and stops them reaching you.

Reports are reviewed and objectionable content is removed within 24 hours, along with the account responsible where that is warranted. If something needs attention faster than the in-app report, email [email protected] with Urgent report in the subject.

If someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first. Trial is a habit tracker and cannot help with an emergency.

Deleting your account

Settings → Delete account. It removes your profile, your check-ins, your photos, your messages, your rest days, your notes and your memberships. It cannot be undone, and there is no separate archive that outlives it.

The one exception is feedback you sent through the app, which survives with your account detached from it. That is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Leaving one experiment instead

You do not have to delete your account to get out of a Trial. Press and hold it on the home screen: Archive puts it out of sight, Turn reminders off mutes that one experiment without touching the others, and Leave this Trial ends your run. Leaving takes your check-ins, your messages and your photos from that Trial with you.

The person who created a Trial cannot leave it — that would strand everyone else in it. They can delete it instead, as long as it has not started yet.

Reporting a bug

There is a feedback form in Settings → Send feedback, and it attaches the app version automatically, which is what makes a report actionable. If you email instead, the version number is at the bottom of the Settings screen.

Useful things to include: what you expected, what happened, and whether it happens every time.

Getting a copy of your data

Email the address above and ask. You will get an answer within 30 days, there is no charge, and nothing about your account changes because you asked. The same goes for correcting something, or for any right you have under the CCPA or the GDPR.
